College Scholarships
College Scholarships are awarded to juniors and seniors
whose course of study is working toward a degree in Insurance,
Risk Management and Actuarial Science:
- 433 applicants from 75 different colleges and universities
- 175 recipients from 40 different colleges and universities
- $220,595 total college scholarship dollars awarded
ISFA College Scholarship
Through the Foundation's general scholarship fund, this
scholarship may range from $500 to $5,000. Scholarship criteria
includes:
- Be a candidate for a bachelor's or higher degree with
a major or minor in insurance, risk management, or actuarial
science.
- Be currently attending a college or university and be
completing or have completed the second year of college.
- Have successfully completed two insurance, risk management,
or actuarial science courses having a minimum of three
credit hours each.
- Have achieved at least a 3.0 grade-point average on a
4.0 scale.
- Not be receiving full reimbursement for the expenses
of tuition, books, etc., from an employer or from any other
outside source.

Marsh College Scholarship
Through Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC)'s scholarship fund, this
scholarship may range from $500 to $5,000. Recipient information
is shared with Marsh. Scholarship criteria includes:
- Be a candidate for a bachelor's or higher degree with a major or minor in insurance, risk management, or actuarial science.
- Be currently attending a college or university and be completing or have completed the second year of college.
- Have successfully completed two insurance, risk management, or actuarial science courses having a minimum of three credit hours each.
- Have achieved at least a 3.0 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.

Award of Excellence
Recognizing exceptional college scholarship applicants
who demonstrate the qualities necessary to excel in the industry,
this scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the Foundation's
Board of Directors and may be up to $1,000.

Scholarship Award Periods
Spring Award Period - The Spring Award
Period for 2013 is closed
Fall Award Period - To be considered for
an October scholarship you must submit your application
by
May 15, 2013.
One application is used for all scholarships. It may
be completed in Acrobat
Reader, then printed and mailed or emailed. PLEASE NOTE:
You must have the current
version of Acrobat in order to fill out the application.
Certain fields are REQUIRED and the document cannot be printed
until those fields are complete. If it doesn't apply to you,
please enter "NA" or "Non-Applicable" in
the field to progress forward.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Thank
you so much for your generosity in awarding me the
Marsh Scholars Award. I feel fortunate and blessed
to be recognized and awarded by such a prestigious
foundation. This scholarship will allow me to continue
in my pursuit of knowledge at the collegiate level.
I will continue to work diligently to uphold the high
standards of academic excellence that has allowed me
to receive this honor. Again, thank you for your support
and kindness in awarding me this scholarship.
